ABOUT PILATES HEALTH & FITNESS

Pilates is mainly a floor-based form of exercise. It helps improve posture, core stability, flexibility and mobility within the muscles and joints of the body. The exercises are performed in a slow and controlled way and can be adapted to suit any kind of physical issue. Pilates is a recognised form of exercise from health professionals to help reduce back pain and improve muscle strength and tone throughout the body. Pilates can be performed by anyone of any age or level of fitness.

 

PILATES Health & Fitness (PH&F) was established in 2002 in Scarborough by Candice Faqir, offering Pilates classes through a local Gym and Dance School. In 2004 due to the popularity of Pilates, Candice opened her own Studio and provided over 25 classes a week for several years. In 2011, PH&F went back into the community teaching Pilates and continues to this day. During this period, PH&F has helped provide the opportunity for three Pilates client to become Pilates Instructors and work with Candice.

 

PH&F has now been established for over 13 years and continues to grow, offering a wealth of Pilates experience in the community from its many qualified L2 & L3 instructors.
